Example IELTS Study Plan |
- Do a full IELTS test paper in exam conditions.
- Look at the answers for the test and check. Try to understand why your answers were right or wrong.
- Read the reading test and listening tapescript again without a time limit and record new vocabulary.
- Take every opportunity to speak English.
- Listen to the radio or watch a film.
- Read a website, blog or chapter of a book. Do not look up unknown vocabulary - this reading is to improve your speed and your technique in understanding the general meaning even without understanding every word.
- Brainstorm the vocabulary you know for 1 or 2 IELTS topics.
- Read your vocabulary records and test yourself.

essential (adj) = necessary, very important
opportunity (n) = chance
look up (v) = search for
brainstorm (v) = think of all the words you know for a certain topic and write it in your vocabulary book.
