Introduction: I am going to talk about a teacher that I really disliked when I was at school.
Point 1: Who they are - name, subject, when they taught you, how long
(30 seconds)
Point 2: Why you didn't like them - explanation, reasons
(30 seconds)
Point 3: What effect they had on your learning - how they made you feel, the results you got with them
(30 seconds)
Point 4: If this teacher was a good teacher or not - explain why, what did they do
(30 seconds)
This is only a rough guide on timing - of course, you might find you have a lot more to say about one point than another but try to use this as a guide, an aim in order to make sure you reach the two minutes. This takes a lot of practice so that you can become aware of how long two minutes feels and how long 30 seconds feels so that you know you are moving well through the points. You ideally need to fill the two minutes, otherwise there will be more time for the examiner to ask you questions that you might not understand. Remember, whilst you are talking, you are in control.
Hear the recording and read the document for the transcript of how this question might be answered. If you listen carefully, you can hear my 4 month old son in the background!
